Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational location in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location. Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals on site, including providing directions or information as needed. Document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Professional - Unarmed Education Patrol
As a Security Professional - Unarmed Education Patrol in Springfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will play a key role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Wed 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM
Fri 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM
Sun 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
