About Our Service Technician

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated technician with a strong desire to learn about our products. Someone who loves taking care of customers and working with their hands. If you are mechanically-minded and enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving, this is the position for you!

It's a physical job - you may be on your feet for 90% to 95% of your workday. You should be able to safely lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. A commitment to safety in oil and natural gas and refinery environments is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service-related inquiries (return materials, service requests, R&D requests, commissioning orders, etc.), including determining the activities necessary to resolve any issues and completing any necessary paperwork to ensure compliance
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers on service needs, recommended maintenance, and other service-related questions
• Interpret machine drawings, routings, and bills of material to understand and meet design specifications
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment and make repairs or retrofits in a timely manner

These are some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during your workday, but you may be called upon to fulfill other duties as needed.

This is a full-time position with the occasional opportunity for overtime. Field Service Technicians are eligible for bonus program in addition to base salary. Starting salary is determined by experience, education, and potential. Welker cares for our employees, so we offer competitive benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health / dental / vision insurance, 401k, and tuition reimbursement.
