About the Role
The Manager, Institutional Contracts plays a crucial role at Breckenridge by overseeing the management of contacts, negotiations and legal agreements. This position requires expertise in contract administration, compliance and strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry specifically with in the Institutional space. The Manager, Institutional Contracts collaborates with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective management and mitigate legal risks.
Responsibilities :
Contract Administration & Maintenance
- Oversee the full lifecycle of Bids and Contracts functions, including contract administration.
- Ensure timely submission of bids and RFPs via email or online portals.
- Maintain accurate and updated contract data including product lists, prices, annual renewals, and customer compliance documentation.
- Administer customer pricing and maintain master customer data using internal systems and processes.
- Track and follow up on project bids and agreement deadlines to ensure timely execution.
Contract Development & Negotiation
Draft, develop, prepare, and review contract documents in collaboration with Legal to minimize exposure and maximize value.Partner with Commercial counterpart to ensure harmonization of contract language across both Commercial and Institutional business.Lead contract negotiation processes by partnering with internal departments and providing strategic guidance on terms.Communicate contract requirements and the intent of terms and conditions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.Identify contractual pricing risks and escalate issues to Senior Leadership and relevant management levels.Proactively govern and lead expiring contracts and extension activities.Cross-functional Collaboration & Compliance
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Strategic Alliances, and Supply Chain to drive contract and price strategy from opportunity discovery to execution.Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment and understanding of current contract terms (e.g., admin fees, rebates, failure to supply).Create and monitor customer offer letters and ensure adherence to customer compliance requirements.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in business related field.Required Skills
5+ years proven experience in contract management within the institutional space of the pharmaceuticals industry, preferably in generics.In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, market dynamics and commercial environment.Proficiency in contract administration, including contract drafting, review and analysis.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.High proficiency with iContracts and SAP.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.Detail oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.Pay range and compensation package
