Workers Compensation & Risk Management Director

The Workers Compensation and Risk Management Director is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of the company's workers' compensation and insurance liability programs across a multi-state workforce. This role ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, manages insurance carrier and vendor relationships, and provides responsive support for employees and leaders navigating claims. As a key leader within Human Resources, this position plays a vital role in reducing organizational risk, containing costs, and promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and recovery.

Education & Experience
Education : Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, risk management, occupational health or related field (preferred)
Experience : 7+ years of progressive experience in workers' compensation and / or risk management, with exposure to multi-state claims handling (required) Experience managing insurance liability claims, insurance negotiations, and vendor partnerships (required) Experience partnering with TPAs, insurers, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex cases (required) Strong knowledge and experience working with workers' compensation laws and insurance programs (required), specifically in complex states like California, New York, Texas, and Florida (preferred)
