Systems Administrator Tier I_ TS / SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities
- Understand all the different systems that are monitored in the help desk and the Tier level responsibilities for the systems.
- Provide IT Service Management functions and first level troubleshooting to all customers.
- Use procedures to perform identification, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of failures and restore system capability to operations.
- Analyze, diagnose, and isolate hardware failures and directly replace or coordinate replacement of hardware.
- Collect data for proper escalation and resolution by Tier 2 / 3.
- Perform network management services including monitoring device health, network performance, and utilization optimization.
- Monitor OS, COTS software, custom software, and manage resource memory allocations.
- Modify authorized user lists, user profiles, and perform file system maintenance.
- Understand ITSM processes and document work accurately through a ticketing system.
- Perform visual inspections of hardware and document findings; understand SLAs to ensure timely completion of work.
- Manage account requests and provide account management for personnel on multiple systems.
- Coordinate with functional leads, technicians, and POCs for systems within the program; interface with customers and government officials as required.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications
Education : Technical training, certification(s) or degree with 3+ years of experience in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or work experience.Required Technical Skills : 3+ years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.Unix / Linux System Administration - PreferredWindows System Administration - PreferredShift work (Panama Schedule : 12 hours / day for 7 days over a 2-week period)DoD IA Certification (current) : either CompTIA Security+ CE OR CCNA-Security; Security+ CE preferred. Must attain the required DoD 8570 CE Certification within six months of hire.Note : Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny and monitoring to ensure adherence to security policies. Zero-tolerance for security violations.
