Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CVOR Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR Job Details : Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 6 : 45 AM to 3 : 15 PM Start at 6 : 00 AM for Open Heart Case preparation when notified the day before Call requirements : 3-4 weeknight calls per week from 3 : 15 PM to 6 : 45 AM Weekend call requirements : every other to every third weekend from Friday 3 : 15 PM to Monday 6 : 45 AM Must be willing to work rotating holidays Call response time requirement : 15 minutes with sleep room available Work in 2 CVOR suites handling 1-3 cases per day Common cases include open hearts (CABG, valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent procedures, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, and Impella 5.5 Must have 2 years of CVOR experience with open heart, CABG, and valve procedures Must be able to first scrub and be willing to cross-train into general OR when CV volumes are low Must be willing to float to the floor as a 1 : 1 sitter to supplement hours during low case volumes Required certifications : BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP 4-5 days unit-based orientation plus 2 buddy call shifts Scrubs provided Uses EPIC charting system Overtime opportunities available Facility : This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program featuring modern CVOR suites equipped with advanced technology including Stryker towers and robotic surgical capabilities.
