The Physical Therapy Aide plays a crucial role in supporting physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to patients. This position involves assisting with patient treatment plans, maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, and ensuring a positive experience for patients undergoing rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of various patient demographics, including geriatrics and orthopedics.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of licensed staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
- Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions by monitoring equipment and surroundings.
- Provide excellent patient service by greeting patients, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow in the clinic.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.Experience or familiarity with geriatrics, orthopedics, inpatient care, or acute care settings is advantageous.Strong understanding of physiology to support treatment processes effectively.Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and support for individuals undergoing rehabilitation.This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the healthcare field while contributing to the well-being of patients on their path to recovery.
