We’re looking for an experienced Materials & Production Scheduling Manager to join a well-known food & beverage manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of production scheduling, materials planning, and logistics coordination at the facility. The Materials & Production Scheduling Manager provides leadership to the logistics team, drives alignment with plant operations, and partners with the procurement team to secure supply while maintaining service, quality, and cost targets. This position reports to the Plant Director.

Job Responsibilities :
- Directly manage the Logistics Supervisor and provide strategic direction for the planning and logistics team, including production planner, ingredients & packaging inventory planner, packaging planner, and logistics coordinator.
- Partner with the Plant Director and cross-functional leaders to align production schedules with business priorities.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules for multiple product lines to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
- Manage planning for products with short shelf life (under 90 days) to ensure inventory freshness and minimize waste.
- Ensure raw materials, ingredients, and packaging inventories are available to meet production requirements without excessive holding costs.
- Collaborate with procurement to align supply availability with production demands.
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics planning to ensure efficient transportation and storage of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and reporting for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Drive improvements in warehouse utilization, materials flow, and logistics coordination.
- Utilize SAP to manage production schedules, materials requirements, and inventory accuracy.
- Leverage data and analytics to improve decision-making around production planning and material usage.
- Develop reporting tools to enhance visibility of supply chain performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve scheduling accuracy.
- Champion best practices in materials planning and short shelf-life inventory management.
- Ensure all scheduling and materials management processes comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence within the team.
Required Skills / Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.7+ years’ experience in production planning, materials management, or supply chain within food manufacturing experience is required.Knowledge of systems and data management.3+ years’ experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.Proficient computer knowledge with familiarity or ability to learn SAP or other manufacturing systems.Salary :
$130,000 - $150,000 annually
