Data Engineer

Overview

Location : Mt. Sterling, IL, or Chesterfield, MO

Department : Information Technology

Reports To : Analytics Manager

Salary : $78,288 - $117,432 annually, plus bonus opportunity

You're analytical, a big picture thinker, and detail oriented. You're a problem solver, and you're able to present technical ideas to the business. You enjoy interacting with people and communicating across teams.

What you'll do

• Automate data wrangling from a wide variety of sources (flat files, remote servers, databases, legacy systems, message queues, APIs and more)
• Identify opportunities to improve system and business process efficiencies
• Cleanse / transform data in preparation for all levels of analytical use
• Leverage many technologies and methodologies as required - includes scripting and programming languages
• Assist in the preparation, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning / artificial intelligence data pipelines
• Work with vendors and consultants as appropriate.
• Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
