Are you ready to design your future

EXPis currently seeking a dynamic Project Engineer for its Chicago office to work within the Transportation Infrastructure business practice. The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Civil Department Manager with a focus on highways roadways freeways and toll road related projects. Work on rail airport and site civil projects may also be required. The projects will involve a wide variety of civil engineering skills and abilities for clients such as IDOT CDOT Illinois Tollway and local agencies in northeast Illinois.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Support Project Managers to assure projects meet client required schedules budgets and quality standards. This may include development of Project Management Plans QA / QC Plans scopes of work level of effort estimates and delivery schedules.
• Lead project teams in the delivery of technical documents and deliverables for any phase of a project from feasibility through planning and design and may include design services during construction.
• Lead the development of reports studies plans specifications quantities and cost estimates.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Lead and coordinate design activities between internal staff subconsultants and clients and this may involve work share management with other EXP offices.
• Perform planning and design related activities in your area of expertise and oversee and check the work of others.
• May potentially assist in the preparation of proposal participate in project presentations and marketing activities with clients.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What your experience looks like

The salary range for this role is $130000 to $155000 . Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates skill set experience certifications and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
