As a CO+I Electrical Engineer, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities

• Design : Develop knowledge of industry trends, consult with engineers, assist in designing robust, scalable, secure electrical engineering aspects of features or product extensions.
• Participate in creating intellectual property; may file patents within scope.
• Implement known solutions to common technical and design challenges with guidance.
• Read device specification sheets and design / test hardware features.
• Develop design documentation including drawings, specifications, schematics, or diagrams.
• Review supplier / partner technical sheets to select appropriate parts.
• Testing and Verification : ensure test requirements are included; determine appropriate test equipment; write design verification test cases; develop / test plans and infrastructure; assist in automated testing; gather data for testing suppliers; set up testing environments with guidance; develop dashboards for testing / quality metrics; analyze results.
• Technical Project Implementation : follow project schedules; implement product plans; identify potential downstream issues; research tools / technologies; assist in risk assessments; communicate progress.
• Reporting and Documentation : create detailed reports and specifications; document materials and assemblies; track design changes.
• Other : embody the Microsoft One culture and values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

Background Check Requirements : Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements. This includes Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications : Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of experience. OR equivalent experience.

Electrical Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range for specific locations (San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metro). Base pay range for those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
