Pay Information

$140,000 to $160,000 per year

About The Position

A well-established hospital on the Southern Oregon Coast is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) to join their collaborative and growing Orthopedic service line. This is a hospital-employed, permanent opportunity offering a dynamic, high-quality environment for patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist orthopedic surgeons in surgery, including first assist and closure procedures.

Manage ED consults, inpatient rounding, pre- and post-operative care, and patient education.

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including joint and bursa aspirations, closed fracture reduction, injections, brace / cast / splint applications, and minor outpatient procedures.

Order, collect, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies (x-ray, CT, MRI, EMG, etc.).

Serve as primary orthopedic call for hospital patients, including weekday, weekend, and holiday rotations.

Prescribe medications, orthotics, and other orthopedic devices as allowed by state legislation.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Participate in quality improvement, research, and professional development initiatives.

Job Requirements

Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA) – Required

Oregon license or willingness to obtain – Required

Ties to Oregon (family or prior residence) – Required

Minimum 2 years of orthopedic inpatient experience – Highly preferred

Clean malpractice and background history – Required

Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Accepting new graduates and experienced providers

Locum-to-Perm candidates considered

Visa candidates eligible

Benefits

Full-time, primarily day shift

On-call rotation based on provider pool

Occasional weekends

Compensation & Benefits :

Base salary : $160,000 (for experienced full-time providers)

Potential sign-on bonus up to $10,000
