• Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.\n
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.\n
• Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. Evaluates care outcomes.\n
• Problem solves and coordinates unit / patient care assignments, with supervision.\n
• Introduces new employees / students to unit routines.\n
• Participates on unit-based committees.\n
• Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.\n
• Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters.\n
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.\n
• Performs other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum Education : \n\nNone specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and / or certification as required by the issuing authority.\n\nMinimum Experience : \n\nNew graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) Year experience).\n\nLicensure Requirement : \n\nMust have and maintain Tennessee State RN license.
