Assistant Professor Of Communication
The University of Tampa is seeking an Assistant Professor of Communication. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, prepare course materials, plan and revise curricula, and participate in scholarly activities.
Responsibilities :
- Teach undergraduate courses in Critical Media Practice, Introduction to Script Writing, Global Media Cultures, Media and Society, Radio Production, and Podcast Production.
- Prepare course materials.
- Plan and revise curricula, course content, and course materials.
- Monitor students' progress, assign tasks, and grade assignments.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
- Participate in scholarly activities leading to presentations and publications.
- Participate in department, university, and community service activities.
- Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
- Advise students on academic and vocational curricula.
- Select materials used for the course, such as textbooks.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
- Stay current with developments and technological advances in the communication field.
- Participate in campus and community events.
- Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching and research work.
Requirements :
U.S. Ph.D. in Communication and Media Studies or a closely related subject matter.6 months of experience as a Graduate Assistant or closely related job title, including 6 months of college-level teaching experience in audio and video production.Work Schedule :
