Expedites care through direct patient contact including patient transportation, patient preparation, specimen transportation, preparation of imaging rooms and other related assistance. Job Duties

• Greets patients upon arrival, aids in filling out necessary paperwork and transports patients to appropriate imaging areas.
• Answers telephone calls for area and routes call appropriately.
• Performs clerical functions as required and requested.
• Assists in patient preparation and completion of examinations.
• Observes a patient when required.
• Assists in patient positioning and lifting and transporting when needed.
• Assists in ensuring all necessary supplies are available and stocked.
• Assists technical staff with any / all duties necessary for completion of imaging studies.
• Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care.
• Effectively uses Radiology Information System.
• Maintains confidentiality and an ethical relationship with all patients and medical records.
• Must be enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree medical imaging program with intention of hospital-based radiologic school enrollment when eligible. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
