Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room of a large Level I Trauma Center Responsible for adult and pediatric surgical patients, including trauma and specialty cases Expected to rotate between day, evening, and night shifts in six-week schedule blocks Typically assigned three 12-hour shifts per week, with schedule balancing between day and night shifts Required to take up to two on-call shifts per week, occasionally on non-scheduled days Weekend shifts are required Use of Epic EMR Must circulate; scrub experience is highly preferred Responsibilities include circulating and, preferably, scrubbing for a wide range of surgical procedures Team-based environment in a busy academic medical center with robust trauma and specialty service lines Must complete assigned training modules prior to starting Royal blue scrubs are required Parking is available for $125 per month Auto-approval for up to 7 days of requested time off; extended requests require approval Requirements Active CT or compact RN license, or proof of application prior to consideration Minimum of two years' recent Operating Room experience, including trauma cases at a large facility Certifications required : BLS and ACLS Must be independent with all trauma cases, craniotomy, vascular, and endo-vascular procedures Robotics and ortho experience strongly preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless a religious or medical exemption is provided Not open to local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility Returning staff must have a minimum two-year separation to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-641419.
