American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a night shift position, requiring a valid CA RN license and at least two years of recent pediatric hospital experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level III / IV NICU at a children's hospitalNight shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts, 19 : 00-07 : 00Care for neonates with conditions such as hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal sepsis, and general surgical needsVent management required with conventional ventilators, oscillators, bubble CPAP, and NIPPV; no jet vent experience neededPre- and post-op surgical care, including trachs, central lines, drips, and small baby careWorks with Cerner electronic medical record systemEvery other weekend requiredFirst to float to Peds, PICU, or CVICU as neededNo on-call responsibilityMust work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the assignmentA maximum of 7 days of requested time off will be consideredFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyNot open to local candidates within a 50-mile radiusReturn staff must have a separation of at least one year before eligibilityUp to 8 hours of required module training will be completed during orientation\n \n Requirements\n
Current and active CA RN license required; no pending or temporary licenses acceptedMinimum of 2 years of recent pediatric hospital experience requiredCurrent BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications requiredMust have experience working vents at least 2-3 shifts per weekAbility to float to pediatric, PICU, or CVICU units as neededMust be able to provide two supervisory references from recent roles within the last year\n Benefits\n
