Spanish, Chinese, and or Japanese- Immersion Language

Duration : On-Call (M-F) throughout the school term
Compensation :
Sub Early Childhood Teacher Aides : $24.00 / hour and / or
Sub Early Childhood Teachers : $26.00 / hour
Effective Date : September - June
We are interviewing now & hiring for this fall. Our school is in search of dynamic Substitute Language Immersion educators for our Early Childhood program at the International School of Portland!
The International School of Portland provides a warm multicultural environment where our students are fully immersed in Spanish, Japanese or Chinese language and culture. Our Language Immersion Substitute teacher or Aide will use the target language (Spanish, Chinese or Japanese) throughout the day while engaged with students.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Capable of quickly traveling to multiple locations on school campus including up and down hills, lifting or otherwise carrying 40 pounds, traveling up / down flights of stairs, standing and sitting for long durations, typing for continuous hours on a computer keyboard, and reading information on a computer screen.
Preferred Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Teaching / Education or equivalent experience
Basic understanding of spoken and written English
Demonstrated proficiency in the target language along with demonstrated ability to teach the target language
At least 6 months -1 year of professional teaching experience in a language immersion classroom or something similar
