Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license – PA RN jobs

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience or relevant clinical specialty

Additional professional education, training, or certifications may be required by specialty area

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Operating Room under physician direction

Apply current nursing practices and clinical support skills to deliver high-quality surgical care

Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create individualized care plans

Direct and supervise nursing support staff in accordance with departmental policies and standards

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety protocols in the OR
