Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and understand English. Flexibility in work tasks and schedules. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new techniques. Knowledge of age-specific patient care considerations. Ability to work variable shifts, including nights. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and turning patients. Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions. Exposure to blood and body fluids with appropriate precautions.

This role involves assisting patients with daily activities, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to the unit and equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or notifying appropriate personnel.
- Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
- Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of patient care areas.
- Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
- Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.
