This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and management of a comprehensive set of controls, budgets, and forecasting designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the companys reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). / ph3Objectives / h3ulliDevelop and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures / liliMonitor the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the departments goals and objectives / liliUpdate job knowledge by remaining aware of new state and federal regulations, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications / liliEnsure that all accounts payable are paid timely and all reasonable discounts are taken on invoices / liliEnsure that accounts receivable are collected promptly / liliManage cash flow / liliProcess payroll in a timely manner / liliEnsure that monthly bank and credit card reconciliations are completed / liliEnsure that required debt payments (company credit cards, loans, or lines of credit) are paid on a timely basis / liliMaintain the companys chart of accounts / liliDevelop and maintain an orderly accounting filing system (paper or digital) / liliMaintain a system of controls over accounting transactions / liliManage the production of the annual budget and forecasts / liliCalculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management / liliCalculate and issue financial and operating metrics / liliProvide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations / liliCoordinate the preparation and compilation of year-end reporting, financial statements, and reconciliations for a certified public accountant (CPA) firm, for tax-return preparation / liliReconcile all balance-sheet accounts on a monthly basis / liliManage the companys audit (if applicable) and tax preparation by coordinating with external professionals as necessary / li / ulh3Competencies / h3ulliProficiency with word processing and spreadsheets / liliSolid GAAP and financial-reporting, technical skills / liliProficiency with QuickBooks / liliWorking knowledge of taxation and corporate structures / liliCash planning / liliPromotion of process improvement / liliProcess development / liliForecasting / liliBudget development / liliTracking budget expenses / liliAuditing, accounting, and corporate financing / liliSolid analysis skills / li / ulh3Education Experience / h3ulliBachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. / liliTen years or more of related experience required. / liliCertified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred. / liliExperience taking a company public. / li / ulh3Physical Requirements / h3ulliProlonged periods of sitting at a desk / liliMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. / li / ulh3Commitment to Diversity / h3pAs an equal opportunity employer committed to meeting the needs of a multigenerational and multicultural workforce, 10X Health System recognizes that a diverse staff, reflective of our community, is an integral and welcome part of a successful and ethical business.
