You will practice nursing within the ethical and legal standards set by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and uphold the highest standards of care as defined by professional nursing organizations.\n\nResponsibilities\n
- Standards of Practice : Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver exceptional care.\n
- Coordination of Care : Ensure seamless transitions in care while working within a multidisciplinary team.\n
- Health Education : Promote health and safety by employing effective teaching strategies tailored to individual patient needs.\n
- Professional Performance : Engage in continuous personal and professional development, ensuring practice is ethical, culturally aware, and collaborative.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation : Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification is necessary within one month of hire.\n\nExperience : All registered nurses are encouraged to pursue further advancement through our SPIRE clinical advancement program.\n\nLicensure : Must be licensed and registered as a nurse in the State of Connecticut. Specialty certification is highly encouraged.\n\nSpecial Skills : Recognition of one's foundational role as an RN, with a commitment to professional growth.\n\nPhysical Demand : The role necessitates prolonged standing and walking; exposure to infectious diseases; managing physical, mental, and emotional challenges; and the ability to assist patients weighing between 5 to 300 pounds.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThis position is covered by the Connecticut Healthcare Associates Collective Bargaining Agreement.\n\nOrthopedic RN experience is preferred.\n\nYNHHS Requisition ID : 162257
