About The Position

Job Title : X-Ray Technologist

Profession : Radiologic Technologist

Specialty : Imaging

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-Hour Nights, Friday to Sunday, Every Other Weekend, First to Float

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : Yes

Certifications : ARRT, BLS

Must-Have :

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with EMR and PACS systems, specifically Radnet and Merge Unity
• Experience with GE and Toshiba imaging equipment

Description :

Position requires general certification requirements including BLS.

ARRT certification as a radiology technologist preferred.

IV certification preferred but not necessary.

Department has 2 scanners / rooms.

Candidate may be floated to other areas as needed.

Common imaging / studies performed include brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.

Average number of scans / studies performed per day is approximately 100.

Radiology supervision is provided by a lead technologist.

Radiologists are in-house.

No IV starts required in this department.

Shifts scheduled do not allow for self-scheduling.

Weekend requirements include every other weekend.

Holiday requirements include working 1 major and 1 minor holiday.

Rotating call is required with a response time of 30 minutes.

Scrub color is teal, and scrubs are provided.

Department-specific orientation is conducted by the lead.

Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
