- POSITION OPPORTUNITY :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Physician to join our Wellness Center Team. Our Osteopathic physicians see patients with myriad acute and chronic conditions, and the clinic day is supported by our front office and medical assistant staff. Osteopathic Manipulation continues to be in high demand in our patient community, and we need to bring more physicians on who can see patients for this sought after treatment. We have opportunities to see infants and children as well as adults. Our interdisciplinary team of practitioners offers opportunity for case review and support with other therapies and is integrally linked with our primary care provider teams.
- Schedule : Currently, we are looking for a part-time provider to cover our Thursday PM shift and Friday AM and PM shifts. We will have more shifts available, up to full-time hours at the end of 2025 / early 2026.
- _This opening is plus or minus primary care shifts with West County Health Centers primary care clinics._
- Provide medical services to include osteopathic manipulation, with or without other knowledge of integrative medicine for both acute and chronic conditions. At times includes primary care evaluation of minor acute conditions, as well as collaborative visits with other integrative practitioners at the Wellness Center.
- Provide leadership within Care Team, encourage and support patient self-management, participate in coordination of care across health system and reduction of unnecessary utilization of medical services, contribute to optimal health outcomes, and maximize positive experience of care received through WCHC.
- Provide leadership in population management of Wellness Center patients in your area of specialty (osteopathic manipulative medicine).
- Document care in the electronic medical record and appropriately complete necessary documentation of care provided.
- Maintain licensure, CPR, and other certifications and licenses as required.
- Maintain ongoing clinical competence through formal and informal Continuing Medical Education activities.
- Maintain a high level of professional and ethical behavior.
- POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Must have a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
- Osteopathic degree or documentation of osteopathic manipulative medicine training for M.D. applicants
- Valid DEA & Furnishing License
- Comfortable with seeing at least 10 patients per 4-hour shift
