We are seeking a forward-thinking Legal Technology Lead to drive the roadmap, implementation, and ongoing management of technology solutions across the legal department. This role will focus on leading legal tech initiatives, managing ticketing systems, building impactful analytics dashboards, and creating long-term technology roadmaps aligned with strategic business and legal goals. The ideal candidate combines technical acumen with strong legal operations experience and a passion for innovation.
How You'll Spend Your Time Here
- Develop and maintain the legal technology roadmap in partnership with legal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Identify current pain points, future needs, and emerging technologies to inform short- and long-term legal tech planning.
- Align the roadmap with department priorities, business initiatives, compliance requirements, and budget constraints.
- Regularly present roadmap progress, milestones, and updates to legal and executive leadership.
Ticket And System Support
Manage and optimize the legal tech ticketing system, ensuring efficient triage, assignment, and resolution of incoming legal support requests.Define and enforce SLAs, categorize ticket trends, and produce metrics on volume, response time, and resolution rate.Maintain user-facing knowledge bases and self-service documentation.Lead end-to-end lifecycle of legal technology projects including system selection, design, configuration, testing, launch, and adoption.Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with IT and vendors on solution delivery.Implement systems for contract lifecycle management (CLM), matter management, e-billing, knowledge management, and compliance as needed.Foster user engagement through training, change management, and continuous feedback loops.Data Analytics & Reporting
Design and deliver reports and dashboards that measure legal performance metrics and operational KPIs.Analyze ticketing data, contract cycle times, matter trends, and system utilization to inform optimization efforts.Maintain high standards of data accuracy and support ongoing data governance initiatives.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a bridge between Legal and IT to ensure legal tech goals align with company-wide systems and strategies.Participate in vendor management, contract negotiations, and RFPs related to legal technology.Monitor industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices to maintain a cutting-edge legal tech environment.WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING :
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field (JD, MBA, or legal operations certification a plus).5+ years of experience in legal operations, legal tech implementation, or IT program management within a corporate legal department or law firm.Demonstrated experience building and executing technology roadmaps.Familiarity with legal technologies (e.g., Ironclad, MyLegal, Brightflag, Navex, E-discovery tool)Proficient in analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate).Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.Preferred Skills

The starting pay range for this position is $144,160.00-$180,200.00.
