1 HR and 30 min from downtown Denver

Duration : ASAP 3 -6 Months

Reason for coverage : FTE open, due to provider absence

Schedule : 24hr call and call back

Shift : Call

Patient volume : 250 deliveries per year

40-50 pediatric admissions per year, including through ED and direct admission. Initial resuscitation / management for all high-risk deliveries performed at Hospital (unplanned C / S, fetal distress, preterm).

Scope : Ped Hospitalist

Responsibilities

• Initial resuscitation / management for all high-risk deliveries performed at Hospital (unplanned C / S, fetal distress, preterm)
• Ongoing management of newborns
• Management of pediatric admissions for bread-and-butter conditions within facility level of care
• Consultation with ED providers regarding appropriate level of care / transfer
• Response time to the hospital in 30 minutes or less if requested

Of Note : Providers at local clinic will cover their patients during the days but will sign out for nocturnal coverage and occasionally for weekend coverage.

Group / support : Full support staff

Requirements (boards, license) : Active Colorado license highly preferred, IMLC with LOQ in hand can be considered, board cert, clean background in order to issue temp privileges
