About The Position

License : KS or Compact License required

Certifications : BLS required, NIHSS preferred

Must-Have :

Meditech experience required

Travel experience required

Description :

The position requires experience in Meditech.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Night shifts will be from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Every other weekend is required.

Floating to other Medical-Surgical units may occur as needed.

Skills required include telemetry monitoring, gastrointestinal and genitourinary assessments, and IV therapy.

Nurses should be familiar with managing various medical conditions such as pneumonia, alcohol withdrawal, oncology issues, renal disease, stroke, COPD, and CHF.

Wound care and isolation precautions are essential skills for this position.

The unit comprises a team with interdisciplinary support including therapy and rapid response teams.

Additional skills in medication administration, including Heparin and Insulin, are needed.

Experience with various patient care equipment is also important.

Support services include pharmacy, social services, and radiology.
