As an Engineering Manager in Fulfillment, you will lead a globally distributed team responsible for building and scaling self-service fulfillment infrastructure. You will focus on people leadership, team health, and strategic platform development, ensuring that your team delivers reliable, performant, and customer-focused solutions. Operating in a cross-functional environment, you will collaborate with Sales, Finance, Support, and Product teams to improve purchasing and licensing systems. This role blends strategic planning, technical oversight, and hands-on engagement, giving you the ability to influence platform architecture while amplifying team impact. You will drive initiatives that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and user experience, while fostering a high-performing, engaged, and autonomous team.
Accountabilities :
- Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing, globally distributed Fulfillment engineering team, running regular 1 : 1s and coaching sessions to improve team health and productivity.
- Set and communicate a platform vision, driving strategy for self-service fulfillment systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and customer experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, IT, Support, and Product teams to deliver improvements in purchasing and licensing processes.
- Own execution of the team roadmap, track throughput and quality, remove blockers, and deliver releases predictably.
- Review architecture and code across Ruby on Rails and React / Vue, making final technical decisions and contributing hands-on when needed.
- Establish, track, and improve engineering metrics to enhance system reliability, availability, and developer experience.
- Identify platform gaps through targeted discovery and ensure closure via clear ownership, milestones, and success criteria, maintaining SOX / GDPR compliance and security best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams globally, with a track record of increasing team impact and delivering measurable results.Strong technical fluency, able to balance short-term product needs with long-term platform strategy while maintaining high code quality.Experience designing and scaling modular, extensible platforms integrated with first-party and third-party systems.Hands-on experience with frontend technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue) and bonus points for full-stack experience in Ruby on Rails.Demonstrated success in building and scaling large, customer-facing SaaS applications for enterprise clients.Familiarity with SOX, GDPR, and other regulatory compliance requirements, with understanding of security best practices and audits.Ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders and drive technical decisions in complex organizational contexts.Excellent communication skills and strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.Benefits
