We are seeking a Facilities Assistant Project Manager to support the completion of a portfolio of assigned projects ahead of schedule and under budget. As a Facilities Assistant Project Manager you will be supporting for the planning, design, and execution of capital infrastructure projects supporting critical building operations and manufacturing processes. The Facilities Assistant Project Manager coordinates with construction contractors to carry out a variety of projects related to new construction, renovations, specialty equipment installation, and facility infrastructure improvements. • Assist in developing and managing the scope, budget, design and schedule of multiple plant rearrangement and production equipment installation projects, from cradle to grave.
• Assist in project planning, design, bidding work to general contractors, building / executing and closing out the project. Projects can range from $5,000 to over $15 million.
• Review design packages with project manager, including engineering plans and specifications.
• Assist project managers collecting data and surveying existing areas, formulating design specifications, obtaining management acceptance, and developing a completely engineered design package for contractor bidding.
• Assist in managing financial budgets and tracking costs as they are incurred throughout the project lifecycle. Help project manager provide accurate and timely cost and schedule tracking to all project stakeholders.
• On occasion, assist in conducting major facility studies covering such recurring subjects as five (5) year plans, total energy generation, facility containment / contingency programs, building management systems, major material and vendor studies, etc.
• Oversee execution of contractors and subcontractors scopes of work for quality, adherence to plans and specifications, and compliance with all federal, state and applicable local codes such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), etc.
• Perform administrative duties including purchase requisitions, change orders, contractor badge requests, escort requests, closeout docs, etc.
• Track contractors in Can Qualify to ensure contractors arriving on site are registered in the Can Qualify database.
• Coordinate with Plant Engineering management on behalf of the project manager to schedule fire protection impairments, fire panel impairments, electrical panel locations requests, utility shutdowns, crane lifts, site communications, etc.
• Assist in providing detailed closure to projects (ie driving punch lists to completion, asset identification, submitting changes to electrical distribution, collection of closeout docs including O&M manuals, as builts, etc).
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Pay Information :

Full-Time Salary Range : $63653 - $108210

Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
