MRO Parts Specialist manages procurement, storage, inventory activities, cycle counting, and issuing of industrial parts and materials, focusing on customer service, technical support, and inventory accuracy for internal customers and external vendors. Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Oversee the accurate receiving, tracking, counting, issuing, and stocking of parts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Source parts and manage quotes from OEMs and vendors with competitive pricing, adhering to budget constraints.
Interact with customers, answer questions, and help them find correct parts.
Provide basic technical assistance and research to internal teams and external customers regarding parts and components.
Accurately process and fulfill stock, emergency, and special orders; receive, organize, and put away items.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of parts inventory, orders, and customer interactions via CMMS, Excel, etc.
Coordinate shipments, track deliveries, and manage inbound / outbound movement of parts.
Resolve discrepancies in inventory, shipments, or orders efficiently and professionally.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education or vocational training in electrical, mechanical or electronic disciplines preferred.
5+ years in parts inventory management utilizing a CMMS and other inventory management software such as JD Edwards.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and material handling parts and components is essential.
Proficiency with CMMS, Excel, Office Suite, SharePoint and online databases and relevant software required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are crucial for working with inside and outside customers and vendors.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and a high volume of moving parts are important.
