Job Summary :
The Dump Truck Driver Class B is responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks for transporting materials to and from project sites.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Operates and maneuvers Class B dump trucks to transport construction materials between sites.
- Loads and unloads materials efficiently, ensuring proper distribution and securing of the load.
- Adheres to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the dump truck.
- Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and report any issues promptly.
- Maintains effective communication with construction site supervisors and other team members to coordinate material deliveries and pickups.
- Performs routine maintenance on the dump truck, such as checking fluid levels, and tire pressure, and ensuring overall vehicle functionality.
- Keeps accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
- Addresses and resolves any issues that may arise during transportation, such as traffic delays or mechanical problems, while keeping supervisors informed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Excellent verbal and communication skills.Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.Ability to drive safely.Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and / or web-based or physical maps.Ability to maintain basic logs and records.Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.Available to work various hours and shifts as neededEducation & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.At least one year of experience as a Class B dump truck driver in a construction or related industry is required.Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.Physical Requirements :
Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs and inspect and maintain machinery.Active, physical work involving occasionally; lifting (50+ lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching.Frequently walking, standing, driving, and operating equipment for extended periods.Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, and clear close & distant vision.Requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.Requires regular use of eyes, shoulders & neck to monitor vehicle mirrors & backup camera.Must be able to work in all weather types, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
