Description :

Charge and Level 3 experience is required for this role.

Please read carefully.

This unit has a total of 6 beds.

The estimated patient ratios are 3 : 1.

There will be a minimum of 2 NICU RNs per shift.

There will be 24 / 7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage.

In-house OB hospitalist and anesthesiologist will be available 24 / 7.

Equipment includes GE bedside monitors and GE beds (Giraffe and Panda warmers), Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights, and Neomed and Medfusion feeding / medication pumps.

Documentation will be done using Meditech and CPNS.

Schedule requires 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Float may be required to the newborn nursery as needed.

Assisting with line placement, circumcision, and intubation will be part of the role.

Candidates must have experience caring for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation.

Experience with central lines and stabilization will be necessary.

Candidates should understand developmental care.

Body art should be covered whenever possible.

Clean and healthy nails, with no polish or artificial enhancements, are required.

Hair should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors, and should be pulled back if shoulder length or longer.

Visible piercings, other than ears, are prohibited.

No perfumes or lotions are allowed.

This unit is outfitted with top-of-the-line equipment.
