This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing nurse case management services for fertility treatments.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Andrology / Endocrine Laboratory Team Lead to join our team at our Chesterbrook, PA office. The schedule will be Monday - Friday from 7 : 30AM -4 : 00PM with weekend (every third or fourth) and holiday rotations.

How You'll Contribute :

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the Andrology / Endocrine Laboratory Team Lead is responsible for :

• Supervision of lab staff
• Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samples
• Ordering and receiving lab supplies
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis
• Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphology
• Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
• Perform semen cryopreservation
• Assure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
• Perform daily / monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology laboratory
• Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation
• Performs quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions.
• Checks and records daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents.
• Monitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary.
• Take appropriate safety precautions for handling specimen and contaminated areas.
• Performs all clerical tasks associated with recording laboratory results in designated areas and filing.
• Provide a turnaround time to the physicians approximate two hour request from the time specimens are received.
• Reliability : It is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours, ready for work.
