  • Position Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment\n
  • Location : Gadsden, Alabama (35903) – Alabama nursing jobs\n
  • Unit : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour day shifts (6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM), every other weekend required\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Assignment Duration : 13 weeks\n
  • Start Date : November 24, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 23, 2026\n
  • Patient Ratio : 6 : 1\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,510 - $1,620 per week\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Alabama RN license required\n
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience\n
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred\n
  • Ability to work either December 24th or 25th AND either December 31st or January 1st\n
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility\n

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to medical-surgical patients\n
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress in the Med / Surg unit\n
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans\n
  • Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and ongoing care\n
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR\n
  • Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care\n
