Job description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) to join our youth crisis facility, where we provide critical support and care for young individuals facing mental health and behavioral challenges. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth during their most vulnerable moments, working within a supportive and collaborative environment committed to growth and recovery.

Part-time shift available :

  • Friday to Sunday - (10am to 10pm)

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech :

  • Monitor and supervise youth in a crisis setting to ensure safety and well-being
  • Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
  • Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
  • Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Daily chart documentation
  • Maintain a safe, clean and structured environment
  • Follow facility policies, procedures, and confidentially standards at all time.
  • Be familiar with The Wood Groups policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Additional training in mental health or behavioral support preferred
  • Prior experience working with youth or in a mental health setting is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Basic knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
  • Compensation details : 18-18 Hourly Wage
