Local Contract Nurse RN - Infusion - $50-55 per hour

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Infusion for a local contract nursing job in Plainsboro, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Infusion Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Local Contract Our client is a privately owned, specialty practice medical group with an oncology-focused infusion center located in Plainsboro, NJ. They are currently in need of several Infusion RN's to support day to day activities on a full-time / 40 hour per week basis. Job Function : Administer I.V. drugs to chemotherapy and other patients under the supervision of the physician; for flushing ports. Advise the Senior Charge Nurse / Pharmacy Manager NCC of needed medication and supplies. Appropriately dispose of chemo waste which may contaminate the environment. Prepare and maintain chemo equipment; inform Senior Charge Nurse / Pharmacy Manager of needed repairs. Educate patients on nutrition and side effects of the drugs used. Promptly recognize treatment of extravasation, according to department guidelines. Ensure that all new patients speak with the Business Office before receiving therapy. Responsible for control of schedule, i.e. when over-booked to attempt to reschedule patients. Documentation of drugs, solutions, treatments, and patient responses according to department guidelines. Follow department guidelines regarding protective techniques to avoid exposure to antineoplastic drugs during preparation and administration.
