HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum for a local contract nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift : 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type : Local Contract
  • Number of Beds - 7
  • Number of Staff – 4 night nurses on staff currently
  • Shift for the Traveler Night Shift
  • Type of staff :

Day Shift – 2 RN and 1 Scrub Tech

  • Night Shift – 2 RN and 1 Scrub Tech
  • Patient Ratios – 1 : 3 variable by census and acuity
  • Type of equipment – GE fetal monitors, Panda warmers, IUPC, Kiwi vac., Koala IUPC
  • EMR – Epic and CPN connect
  • On Call Requirements : 2 shifts on call per four-week schedule
  • Weekend Requirements : 2 weekends, but variable depending on staffing
  • Typical Procedures :

    • Induction, C-Section, Vaginal delivery, D&C, cerclage, versions and bilateral tubal ligation

  • Triage, NST, OB injections, OP infusions, IUFD care
  • Floating : Mom / Baby, if needed

    • Must Haves :

  • An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred
  • A recent 12 months of L&D RN experience in an acute hospital setting
  • OR circulator experience
  • AK RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN intermediate Certifications

    • Preferred or Nice to Have :

  • Perform SVE and place IUPC and FSE
  • Be stork nurse and transition baby at delivery
  • EPIC Experience
  • Travel Experience
