Mid / Senior Designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Mid / Senior -Level Design Engineer to lead technical design initiatives and optimize the throughput of customer design requests. This role combines hands-on CAD expertise, process improvement, and team collaboration to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient workflows. You will play a key role in maintaining CAD standards, supporting design operations, and contributing to new product development.
Primary Responsibilities
Team & Workflow Management
Coordinate daily operations and prioritize design requests to meet deadlines
Help set performance standards, lead times, and metrics for design output
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Participate in hiring decisions and assist with onboarding and training
Collaborate across departments to improve processes and resolve design-related issues
Technical Design & Standards
Create and review factory shop drawings for custom and new product designs
Maintain CAD block accuracy and design standards
Respond to client requests with consultation, scope of work, and material drawings
Manage software subscriptions and troubleshoot technical issues
Contribute to spec sheet creation and new product ideation
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of CAD design experience in a related industry
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Inventor (3D)
Strong understanding of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and design documentation
Familiarity with business tools such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Outlook, and Excel
Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Design-related field
Knowledge of construction, architectural, manufacturing, or mechanical design preferred
Willingness to travel to Denver for training or quarterly visits

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00 / yr.
