American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level II Neonatal ICU night shift position in Illinois, requiring Illinois RN license and relevant NICU skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in a Level II NICU special care nursery settingProvides care for neonates 30 weeks gestation and above, with some responsibilities for well newborn care at delivery and transition6-bed unit with an average daily census of 3 patientsVents and IV starts are required skills for the roleNight shift, 3x12 hours per week, from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15Every other weekend coverage requiredEPIC EMR system is used; EPIC experience requiredFloating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals is requiredNeonatologist or pediatric hospitalist in house 24 / 7Scrubs are providedMust be able to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals as neededMust complete labs within 48-72 hours of signing and pre-start modules prior to orientationNo more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract and not permitted in the first week of orientationPermanent travelers must take a 3-month break after 18 months at the facilityFit testing is required and facial hair must allow for proper fitNo candidates with medical marijuana cards will be consideredFirst-time travelers may be eligible if all other requirements are met\n \n Requirements\n
Active Illinois RN license required at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years Level II NICU experience requiredSpecial Care Nursery experience requiredCurrent NRP certification requiredExperience with vents and IV starts requiredExperience with EPIC EMR requiredMust reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility; no local candidates acceptedSubmission of two professional supervisory references from the last two years is requiredNo previous permanent employment at the health system within the past year\n Benefits\n
