Perm OB Hospitalist Grand Rapids, MI Sign-On Bonus Available 6 7 24-Hr Shifts / Month Level III NICU Academic & Clinical Mix Location : Grand Rapids, Michigan Setting : High-Acuity Labor & Delivery Unit Level III NICU Schedule : 6 7 structured 24-hour shifts / month (including holidays) Bonus : Sign-On Offered Position Overview A leading integrated health system in Grand Rapids, MI is actively seeking a full-time OB Hospitalist (1.0 FTE) to join its collaborative obstetrics team. This role offers a blend of clinical care, OB / GYN surgery, and academic responsibilities in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting with Level III NICU support. The ideal candidate is passionate about team-based care, maternal safety, and education. Role Highlights Provide in-house obstetric care for laboring, postpartum, and unassigned OB / GYN patients Manage obstetric emergencies, deliveries, and GYN consults Round on patients, enter orders, and triage maternal cases Work closely with L&D RNs, neonatologists, NICU APPs, and nurse managers Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians for high-risk pregnancies Supervise and teach OB / GYN residents, fellows, and medical students Participate in structured 24-hour shifts (6 7 per month, including holidays) Contribute to a supportive, safety-focused environment for mothers and newborns Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and training Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Assistance Comprehensive Benefits Package : Medical, dental, vision 403(b) retirement plan with employer match & contribution Malpractice Insurance Fully covered, including tail CME Support : Annual allowance licensure and professional dues Work-life balance emphasis with limited monthly shifts Candidate Requirements Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB / GYN ( must certify within 2 years ) Minimum 3 years of OB / GYN experience Required Valid Michigan medical license at time of employment Active DEA registration , BLS , and ACLS certifications Clean malpractice and license history Highly Preferred About the Health System This mission-driven, Catholic-affiliated health system is part of a nationally recognized network serving patients in over 20 states.
