Job Summary
The Electronics Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and circuit cards in accordance with established methods, procedures, and standards. This role supports the development, production, and maintenance of electronic systems, including RF circuits and digital assemblies. The technician performs hands-on testing, analysis, and repair of components and works closely with engineers to evaluate performance, implement improvements, and support product quality objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies according to detailed procedures and specifications
- Perform troubleshooting to the component level using schematic diagrams and technical documentation
- Adjust, repair, and calibrate electronic assemblies and test systems to ensure proper functionality
- Analyze test results to evaluate performance and identify areas for product or process improvement
- Assist engineers in developing new test procedures and recommend design or manufacturing modifications
- Utilize hand tools, small power tools, and precision measurement and test equipment safely and effectively
- Approve and suggest modifications to testing setups and verify results in accordance with quality standards
- Maintain accurate test data, records, and documentation using Microsoft Office and other data collection tools
- Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with statistical process control (SPC) or other quality standards
- Support production schedules by performing high-quality work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
Job Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of direct experience testing electronic assembliesProficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, analog, digital, and RF circuitryStrong understanding of micro-circuitry and solid-state device operationExperience with flying probe or high-power testing equipmentProficiency using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, and RF power metersAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical diagramsSkilled in data entry and reporting using Microsoft Office Suite and other electronic documentation systemsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively both independently and in a team settingEducation
High school diploma or equivalent requiredAdditional technical training equivalent to an associate degree in electronics or a related field preferredWork Experience
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in electronic assembly testing, troubleshooting, or repairDesired Skills
