A privately-owned clinical lab in Birmingham, AL is seeking a full-time, permanent Histology Supervisor for the night shift (Monday-Friday 9 : 00pm-5 : 30am) . If you re interested in working for an industry leader to help deliver fast and accurate results, look no further!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Directly supervise and coordinates the histology team, including performing routine duties of histology including embedding, microtome, specials stains and related tasks
• Manage the employee hiring process (interview prospective employees, develop performance expectations, identify essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities)
• Manage employee performance and new employee orientation process
• Monitor and evaluate lab operations, workflow, and employees
• Properly embed, section, and stain all types of tissue
• Maintain quality control records on all equipment
• Other duties as assigned
