Color & Curl Concierge

The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist is our ambassador to the industry, demonstrating our expertise in color, talent development, technical skills, social media, business, and sales.

Job Description

The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist focuses on :

Creating increased customer retention and loyalty
Building lasting relationships and increasing brand awareness and market share in hair color
Selling approved beauty products, introducing new products and concepts, providing customer service, and conducting product education both in-store and virtually
Providing color & curl / texture consulting services to professional salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed cosmetologists

This role emphasizes driving the color & curl business and requires extensive online education and certification.

Primary Duties

Assess customer needs related to color and care, and offer professional advice and recommendations

Communicate with team members and vendors regarding calls, visits, orders, and sales progress

Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively

Maintain high standards in merchandising, signage, and store presentation to ensure an inviting atmosphere

Stay informed about emerging trends, market changes, and industry knowledge; adapt sales techniques accordingly

Follow store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and deposits

Uphold CosmoProf / BSG Culture Values and adhere to company ethics

Experience And Skills Required

At least one year of retail or sales experience

Licensed cosmetologist preferred in US and Canada

Reliable transportation for store visits and market coverage

Ability to travel to shows and meetings at least 3 times a year

Strong business acumen and ability to interpret sales reports

Knowledge of retail sales systems, inventory control, visual merchandising, and POS applications

Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and social media

Flexibility to work additional hours and in different stores as needed

Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills

Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

The environment involves typical safety precautions for offices, stores, and vehicles, including safe work practices, fire regulations, and traffic signals.
