The role involves OR and ICU responsibilities (no clinic) focused on cardiac and thoracic, not vascular, surgery. Shift structure includes non-call days (7am to finish) and 24 hour call shifts with the following day off, typically 1 to 2 calls per week. Candidates should have standard CT surgery skills, including first assist and vein harvesting. Case load is 1 to 2 surgeries per day. The team includes 3 surgeons, CVICU APPs, a scrub tech, and OR RNs. EPIC EMR experience preferred.
