Location : Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas

1500 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701

Contract Type : Travel / Contract (8 or 13 weeks)

Start Date : 9 / 28

Schedule : Days | 40 hrs / week (hours not guaranteed) 4x10

Gross Weekly Pay : $3,018

Per Diem : $1,771

Locals Accepted : Yes (50-mile radius)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join the team at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. This is a Level 1 Trauma Center with 2 cath labs and 1 hybrid OR, supporting multiple modalities including Trauma, Interventional Radiology, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and Vascular .

The Cath Lab Tech will :

Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Prepare and position patients, ensuring correct anatomic / technical parameters.

Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.

Monitor patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.

Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.

Perform specialized imaging such as angio, complex vascular, and therapeutic procedures.

Provide technical support for IR, Neuro, Trauma, CV, and Vascular cases.

Must be able to respond within 30 minutes during call shift .

Qualifications

Experience :

Minimum 1 year Cath Lab Technician experience.

Education :

High School diploma (with 2 years cumulative experience), OR

Associate / Technical degree, OR

4 years applicable job-specific experience.

Licensure / Certifications :

Required :

BLS (AHA or Red Cross, within 30 days of hire)

Radiologic Technologist credential from the Texas Medical Board

One of the following :

RCIS (CCI)

EP Cardiographic Tech (CCI)

ARRT Radiography (ARRT-VI, ARRT-CI, ARRT-CV accepted)

Preferred :

ACLS and PALS (AHA or Red Cross)
