Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Porter. The position is located at LCMC - Lakeside, 4700 South I-10, Metairie, LA 70001. Online applications are accepted only.

Food service experience is preferred. The pay range is $13.00 to $14.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including all tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage station. Essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Ensuring tables are bussed, cleared, and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service.
• Following safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
• Washing dishes, glasses, and pots; cleaning cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Scraping and rinsing food from dishes and washing them by hand or placing them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Keeping display equipment clean, free of debris, and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
• Helping receive heavy deliveries from the dock and transporting them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; following HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abides by all company policies and procedures including but not limited to :
• The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
• The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steamtables.
• The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
