Title : Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Care Hospital
Compensation : $121,000 – $153,000 / year (based on experience)
Schedule :
- Mixed shifts : 6 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM & 9 : 30 AM – 8 : 00 PM
- Nights : 7 on / 7 off (Wednesday through Tuesday, 8 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM)
- Location : Panama City, Florida
Position Summary :
A respected hospital in the Florida Panhandle is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their team in either a mixed shift or night shift capacity. The role offers an opportunity to work with a high-acuity patient population in a fast-paced setting alongside a seasoned pharmacy leadership team. The ideal candidate is a confident, self-directed professional with recent acute hospital experience and a patient-centered mindset.
Key Responsibilities :
Interpret, verify, and accurately input physician orders into pharmacy systemsCompound and dispense medications per hospital protocolMonitor therapies for potential interactions, contraindications, and appropriatenessSupport formulary compliance and cost-effective medication useDeliver consults and participate in clinical programs (IV to PO, anticoagulation, pain management, renal dosing, etc.)Supervise pharmacy techs and support staffDocument all clinical interventions accurately and thoroughlyIdentify and report medication errors and adverse drug eventsRequired Qualifications :
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited programActive Florida Pharmacist license in good standingAt least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience requiredOR completion of PGY-1 residency in a hospital settingOpen to new grads only if internship was in hospital pharmacyComfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environmentsCompensation & Incentives :
Salary range : $121,000 – $153,000 annually (based on experience)Shift differentials : Evenings +$3.00 / hr | Nights +$6.00 / hrSign-on bonus : $10,000 (paid in five installments over 2 years)Relocation assistance : Offered case-by-caseBenefits Include :
