TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marion, Illinois.

UNIT : Neuro MS / TELE RN

Required Certs : Must have current active IL RN license. (AHA) BLS, (AHA) ACLS and NIHSS.

Minimum Experience REQUIRED : Two years of strong Med Surg / TELE, 1 travel assignment. Neuro experience required

Charting Experience : Recent EPIC experience required.

Patient Population : Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back / neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram. General medical

NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)

Skillset :  Will also need to be comfortable taking medical overflow patients.

NIHSS / dysphagia screen / strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s / straight cath / Foleys, intitate / titrate heparin gtts., blood / blood product administration / venipuncture / blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Unit Information : 8 beds. Ratio : 1 : 4 | Charge nurse will have patient assignment

Additional Unit Information : New unit, initially will be a mixed unit with Neuro and Medical overflow. Construction being done on the second floor to accommodate a 22 bed neuro unit.
