Supermicro is seeking a Power Supply Design Engineer who can lead the product design, review, and validation of server power supply and related products. The ideal engineer will not just lead a team, but will be a hands-on, and shall have 5+ years ITE server power supply design experiences, cover PFC, flyback, LLC, phase shift, power sharing, OringFET applications in mass production with records. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist product managers as needed in product design and development.
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
Design and develop high-efficiency, high-power-density power supplies and DC-to-DC converters.
Support the development and testing of power shelves, including functional and performance validation.
Participate in design reviews during new product development to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
Contribute to performance optimization and quality improvement efforts for existing power supply products.
Review second-source technical data and test reports, and assist with the implementation and validation of second-source components.
Assist with power supply system analysis, including investigation of RMA issues and implementation of corrective actions to improve product reliability.
* 5 years switching mode power supply design. Best to have OCP ORV3 Power shelf or ORV3 PSU design skill. Job leveling may be adjusted based on years of relevance experience.
* Totem Pole PFC development skills.
* Battery Backup Unit design skill (Battery charger, High power& High density DCDC convertor)
* AC input 3 phase PFC development skill
* High power Brick DC to DC converter development

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
