Preco is now hiring an Electrical Technician for their Somerset, Wisconsin location.

Reports To : Service & Systems Manufacturing Manager

Job Summary :

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of electrical

components and complete systems. Working from schematics, wiring diagrams, and verbal

instructions, this role requires minimal supervision and a strong understanding of electrical

systems. The Electrical Technician also supports troubleshooting, documentation updates, and

continuous improvement efforts, while providing guidance to junior team members.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Build, label and wire electrical panel per schematics and panel layout.

2. Wire cable sets using solder / crimp connectors.

3. Perform all responsibilities of Electrical Assembler I and II positions.

4. Build and troubleshoot various electrical devices and / or complete systems using ambiguous

or incomplete documentation / designs and verbal specifications with minimal supervision.

5. Complete intermediate tuning, testing and troubleshooting of systems or components.

6. Coordinate the manufacturing of assigned systems / projects.

7. Recommend design improvements and process changes with limited supervision.

8. Document changes and corrections on schematics, blueprints and BOM’s.

9. Provide occasional field service support.

10. Train and guide Electrical Assemblers I and II as required.

11. Complete special projects as required.

Job Requirements :

• Technical school graduate in a related field or equivalent training.
• Ability to work from schematics, layout drawings, sketches and verbal instructions required.
• Proficient in the use of hand power tools and soldering equipment.
• Must be knowledgeable in the use of PC’s, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use a multi-meter to perform various checks on systems.
